What actually works
6 things that move the number.
You do not have to leave the marketplaces. You have to stop depending on them: give regulars a direct way to order, make it better than the app, and keep the relationship.
Put your menu online as a menu, not a PDF
Categories, photos, options and prices that update in one place. A PDF cannot take an order.
Take orders on your own page — pickup first
Pickup and collection orders have no delivery cost and no commission. Start there; add your own delivery where it pays.
Use QR codes at the table
Customers order and pay from their seat; the kitchen sees it immediately; the server brings food instead of taking dictation. It also raises the average order.
Send orders straight to the kitchen
A kitchen display — or a printer — that shows each order and its status. Paper tickets are where orders get lost.
Keep the customer’s details
Name, phone, what they ordered. The marketplace never gives you this. It is the whole basis of bringing them back.
Bring them back yourself
A message to everyone who has not ordered in six weeks, with a reason to come back. It costs nothing and it is not something a delivery app will ever do for you.
The shortcut
Restaurant OS does this for you.
Every step above is built into the Restaurant OS — seeded for a restaurant or takeaway, running the day you launch it, with your approval on anything that reaches a customer.
Menu, ordering and payment
Online ordering page for pickup, table QR and delivery, with card and mobile-money payment.
Kitchen display
Orders arrive in the kitchen as they are placed and move through preparing → ready.
Customers kept
Every order builds a customer record you own.
Win-back drafts
The marketing agent surfaces customers who have gone quiet and drafts the message for your approval.

Common questions
Questions worth asking.
Can I keep using the delivery apps as well?
Yes. Most restaurants run both: marketplaces for discovery, their own page for regulars and pickup. The point is that repeat orders stop costing 30%.
Do I need a card terminal?
No — online payment is taken on the ordering page. Cash on collection can be marked paid at the counter.
What about reservations?
Table reservations are built in alongside ordering; a reservation request lands in your inbox for a one-tap confirm.
